Resolutions and such

Welcome to 2008. I hope you're all recoved from hang-overs and fake resolutions and what not.

I'm thinking my resolution is that I'm going to retire from this blog. To be honest, my heart just isn't in it any more and my head is in a space that requires more thinking in other areas.

We'll miss you, Jon. Thanks for the memories. Keep fighting the good fight.

I can't support it to a great extent either, as I also have many other things going on in my head.

Perhaps we can invite other contributors? An even greater diversity of voices... I have one guy in mind, if you're interested.

That's weak, gentlemen, weak...
I understand it, but, again, take time to think about it - writing something pointed and something that needs to be said only once a week, that does not take up too much time and energy.

One should write what one knows.
Our respective issues are that Adrian is all about climate change (so, write environmental rants and how that relates to Ottawa), Jon is about weird, random bohemian stuff and about bashing the mayor (that's cool, the mayor needs to be bashed) while my social commentary is more based around history - and local history - plus a bit of travel notes (as I travel a lot).
So, we should all write what we know.
Write quality rather than just quantity and the blog will be just fine.

As today's blog shows, I'll also about having a hate on for the Philadelphia Flyers and Bobby Clarke.
